Riversdale is a Victorian building located in the centre of Thetford with gardens running down to the riverside.
It has always been known as a community space where people can pop in and get support or information for a variety of things.
Riversdale is currently undergoing extensive building works to refurbish and revitalise it ready to open its doors to the community once again.
In July 2021 the first phase of the Riversdale renovation was completed. We saw the old stable block being converted from a cold, draughty and crumbling building to a bright and energy efficient community space which is currently the home of Chapter 15.
2022 will see the second phase of the renovations on the main house which aims to make the house more energy and cost efficient. The plans are to carry out essential works to the roof, increasing the insulation and replacing the windows to double glazed sash style windows with the aim to make the building warmer and more comfortable for the building users.
