Tuesday 19th April sees the re-opening of Keystone Green Bikes at its new location in York Way on the Abbey Estate (IP24 1EE). Selling new and refurbished bikes Green Bikes also offer servicing, repairs and accessories enabling us to cater to all cycling needs. Previously located on Brunel Way, the new shop is open Tuesdays 8am to 1pm and Wednesday and Thursdays from 9am to 2pm.
Many of our refurbished bikes are donated – if you have a bike you no longer need please contact us on 01842 821459 and we will be pleased to collect and use. To date, Keystone Green Bikes has so far collected over 8,000 bikes from the donations and the waste stream, equating to around 120Tonnes of bikes recycled – that is the equivalent in weight to an average adult blue whale! Not all bikes can be recycled – but we can take parts off those that can’t to use to refurbish other bikes. To date, we have refurbished and sold over 4,000 bikes.
As well as refurbished bikes, we also have a range of new bikes including being agents for VOLT Electric bikes.
The re-location is part of Keystone’s plan to reinvest into local communities, providing more and better services to and for local people. Keystone Green Bikes will also be developing a “Men’s Shed” project where men can come along to learn and share skills, have a chat and the space to meet up with one another. Louise Humphries Keystone’s Chief Executive said “This is a great opportunity for Keystone to reconnect with its local community and offer new and enhanced services that local people want.”
Pop in and visit the new shop before the end of April to be entered into a free prize draw with a chance to win a pack of Raleigh cycling accessories.
