Building Co-Ordinator/ Bookkeeper

20-25 hrs per week 

Pay band £18-19,000 per annum (pro rata) 

An exciting opportunity to join the Keystone team based in Thetford.

Starting at 20 hours per week – hours may increase with mutual agreement as projects grow.  Role requires flexibility as exact hours will be agreed in line with needs of specific finance activities.

 

Keystone Development Trust, based in Thetford operates across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge. Set up in 2006 to provide sustainable community development the business model is simple – using its capital assets (buildings) to generate an income (mainly from rental of offices, factory units and conferencing space) it funds local community development projects. It has recently undergone a massive restructure and is now looking to grow from its newly reformed foundations.  It is an exciting time in the Trust’s development and we are looking for new, highly motivated, diligent member of staff who wants to make a difference to our local communities.

We are looking for an experienced professional to support the financial smooth running of the Trust. Primarily a bookkeeping role it is based at one of our sites so the successful candidate can also be our on-site building co-ordinator.

The bookkeeping element of the role is Trust wide – using SAGE 50 to input invoices and payments into the legers, reconcile payments, liaise with accountants monthly to produce management accounts for Senior Management Team and Trustees.

The office base for this post is Keystone Enterprise Factory on Brunel Way in Thetford but will involve occasional travel to the Trust’s other sites in Thetford, Brandon, Mildenhall; the ability to travel is essential.

Young Peoples’ Worker, based at Mildenhall delivering North Cambridgeshire

20 hrs per week, £20,000 per annum (pro rata)

An exciting opportunity to join the Keystone team working out of St John’s Community Centre, Mildenhall.

Starting at 20 hours per week .  Will require flexibility as exact hours will be agreed in line with needs of specific community activities. Will include some evenings and weekends.

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge?

We are looking for an experienced professional to support young people under the age of 19 years old as part of our brand new service, Community Connections. You will need experience of working directly with young people, have a relevant qualification or experience and an understanding of the issues facing young people in relation to young people unemployment. You will provide one to one support to young people in the Fenland area helping them to reach their goal of moving towards or getting into education, training or employment. Other elements of the role include; partnership work, outreach, networking, promoting sustainability and diversity within the project and raising the profile of the Community Connections service across the county.

The office base for this post is Mildenhall but will cover a wider geographical area across the whole of North Cambridge. The work will be carried out within the service location and in the community; the ability to travel is essential. Key delivery points include Wisbeach, Kings Lynn, March, Ely).

You will be working along side an existing member of staff undertaking a similar role. You will be based at Mildenhall where there is a Community Development CO-Ordinator and Building CO-Ordinator. Your line manager is based in Thetford and you will be expected to travel to Thetford once a monthly for team and safeguarding meetings. The ability to travel is essential.

Community Connections is a partnership between 14 local organisations, led by TCHC.

We will support young people with multiple and complex needs into education, training and employment. The project has been funded as part of the Building Better Opportunities programme and is a project jointly funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social fund.
